Basic Concept....
In the event of a piracy attack the Master can stop the
M/E and block its re-start for a pre-set period of time.
If the pirates are unable to sail the vessel to
territorial waters then experience suggests they will
cut their losses and leave the vessel alone. Disabling
the M/E in this fashion gives the Authorities the time
they need to react to the situation.
