C-VIGIL Ltd : marine in conjunction with
Fibreflght Ltd are now able to offer UAV Visual
Inspections of hard to reach critical areas
typically found in VLCC & ULCC cargo holds e.g.
structural damage, upper bracket toes, weld seam
inspections, coating condition assessment,
pipework ...etc.
These areas are typically extremely difficult to
reach, with inspections often requiring staging
or rope access. These access methods can be very
expensive and time consuming, requiring
specialist workers along with the obvious
increase in risk involved when working at these
heights.
Using our UAV is simple, safe and cost
effective.
The UAV is of a size that it can be easily
lowered through the manhole / hatch access in
the cargo tank, where it is then piloted to the
exact area under inspection. The UAV is fitted
with a 12 mega pixel camera capable of taking
high resolution images for latter detailed
scrutiny. Onboard high intensity lighting
ensures quality images even under the most
exacting conditions.
The UAV is constructed to be safe to operate
with covers over all moving parts; no open rotor
blades ensures the UAV can in no way damage the
area being inspected whilst allowing the UAV to
fly close enough to obtain detailed images.
The UAV is remotely controlled from a portable
command and control station and can be fitted
with a high resolution digital still camera or a
HD video camera depending on the type of
inspection.
